We were the only guests and we had difficulty locating the hotel. The receptionist was delightful but the reception area is not very inviting nor are the common rooms on the first floor. Our bedrooms/bathrooms were very adequate and charming. There is no bar area but they did open some very nice wine for us and we enjoyed it in the courtyard albeit there was no lawn furniture only a few chairs. The dining room was overly bright, no candlelight.The service was very good but the food was average. The wine was excellent. The hotel could be wonderful with some refurbishing of the common areas and they could make the coffee prep area into a comfortable bar with a few tables and chairs. |

We really enjoyed the hotel. It was in a beautiful area and the hotel was quite nice. We were pleasantly surprised by how big the room was. The only thing we were disappointed in was that it was so isolated--there wasn't much in the way of options for restaurants in the area. We ate dinner at the hotel all three nights and it was very good. So if you are looking for a relaxing getaway and wonderful wine, Torre Gaia is perfect. There are also some cute towns and things around. We also did a day trip to Pompeii from here. You definitely need a car to enjoy the area. We would stay here again. It would be a wonderful place to go with a group, either family or friends as well. |
