Ca’Marcello is a Venetian villa built around 1500 by the aristocratic Venetian military family, Marcello. Amongst the countryside between Treviso, Padua and Venice, Ca’Marcello encompasses the ecological life and radiant magnificence of its aristocratic origins. The villa has always been a private residence, of high importance, still lived in by the same family who have opened it today to all those who wish to share its refined splendour.
The imposing 16th century Palladian-style architecture comprises a central building and two arcade wings, the “Barchesse”, which surrounds the Italian garden. In the large luxuriant park, there is a dove-cote, a family chapel and the large”Pescheria” mill-pond.
The independent apartment of three floors, is inside one of the ‘Barchesse’ wings. The furnishing, with antique paintings and family heirlooms, is complemented today with new ones to create a warm and elegant environment. Of special mention, are the marbled walls, stone and parquet flooring, and bathrooms with hand-painted Vietri tiles.
The large bedrooms, furnished with fine drapes and materials, oriental carpets and period furniture, look over the garden in front of the villa’s façade. Beside the main villa building, there is a swimming pool in a private garden full of oleanders, hydrangeas and roses.
