The Quartana Hotel is on Panarea, the smallest of the Aeolian islands, and in recent years , has been the retreat for international jet-set personalities.

The origins of Piano Quartara, the area where the hotel is situated, seem to be the site of human inhabitation in the Neolithic or late Stone Age period (IV-III millennium B.C.). The hotel was created about 40 years ago in what was, at the beginning of the 1960s, the biggest delicatessen in all the island.

The rooms, each one with a different theme (colonial, Chinese etc.), are furnished with hand-made craftsman furniture in teak and have the most modern amenities. The floors are in lava stone and the hand-decorated tiles are from S. Stefano di Camastra – all the best expression of Sicilian craftsmanship.
