The Hotel Sa Bassa Rotja was once a thirteenth-century Majorcan house, restored today, but still retains some of its original features.

The hotel is within a farm of 100 acres, just 3 km from the town of Porreras, and 18 km from the most virgin beaches of the island, is Trenc, Ses Covetes, Es Carbó. The farm belonged to Guillem de Varoic in the thirteenth century. This gentleman served in the king's court, to later retire and devote himself to religious literature.
