The Castello di Razzano Estate, situated in the heart of Monferrato, is on an original Roman site dating back to 861 and traces its name back to “RAIUS”. The estate has an aristocratic residence with enclosed courtyard dated 1697. In the medieval period, it was part of the powerful Marchesato dei Natta fief, of which the town has the same name.
The enclosed courtyard of the Castle, with details testimony to its history, hosts a large Italian garden: an invitation to go outside into the quiet countryside to enjoy the fragrances and forget the frenetic rhythm on the other side of the hills.
In a splendid historical setting, the ancient Wine Cellar jealously guards the fine wines produced by the Olearo family on the estate.
The suites, elegant and large, have an enchanting panorama over the surrounding hills and are furnished with period furniture – ideal for rest, reading or enjoyment in surroundings of past times.
On re-awakening, rich buffet breakfasts can be enjoyed with choice local products, in the dining room on the ground floor: the exclusive delicacies are personally arranged by Rita, the owner. Some other facilities are: the beautiful open-air swimming pool, riding stables, tennis court and golf nearby.
