“Ston Easton Park Hotel” is a quintessential Palladian mansion founded in the mid 18th century, embraced by the impressive expanse of the estate, which was landscaped passionately by the then celebrated gardens architect Humphry Repton, and today still contains an array of historic features and landmarks including a number of original wells, an ice house, the ruins of a grotto fountain, a sham castle, romantic bridges and the strikingly rare 18th century plunge pool whose discovery led to the conservation of “Ston Easton Park”, having been slated for demolition back in the 1950’s.

Over the following decades the manor was sensitively and arduously restored, most notable by one of its more prominent proprietors, former editor of the Times, William Rees-Mogg.

Bedchambers are commodiously generous, gloriously luxuriant but never pretentious or uninviting. Indeed guestrooms are richly and tastefully furnished with splendid four poster beds or genuine coronet beds, complemented by antique period pieces and features, fine paintings and modern en-suites and all the modern amenities.

The cuisine is equally outstanding, an eloquently prepared work of art of international renown.
