“Ballyseede Castle” is the quintessential Irish castle, built to outlive the follies of man and endure the ravages of time.
Fought over for centuries by many a rival, it stands majestically on an imposing thirty acres of land, wondrous gardens and woodland, with a grand entrance signalled at the gateway by regal pillars of block granite.
To this day, it is rumoured ghosts of landlords past still wander its many meandering halls and corridors, still fondly guarding the estate’s manor.
The castle offers many elegant and spacious rooms, from single guestrooms onto suite and deluxe suites, all tastefully and individually designed and each with a magnificent view of the opulent garden on the castle grounds.
“Ballyseede” also boasts an elegant wooden bifurcating staircase built of fine oak joinery, unique in Irish Castle architecture, as well as many gracious living areas throughout the property, such as the residents lounge or the library bar, featuring rich décor of carved oak mantelpieces or ornamental cornices adorning marble fireplaces.
