The Convento della Pietà is situated in the old part of the city of Tropea, on a sheer cliff terrace overlooking the sea, right in front of the rock promontory with the church of Santa Maria dell’Isola.

The foundations of the convent date back to the Roman era and, centuries later, its rooms were used as a hospital for injured soldiers returning from the Crusades.

In 1987, a group of friends renovated the building, maintaining its beauty and original charm and creating the Convento della Pietà as an ideal place to stay.

The comfortable rooms, the historical building, the prestigious furnishings, together with the splendid view, awaits you for a relaxing vacation, in any period of the year.

The marvellous patio gives access to the Sole and Luna apartments, overlooking the sea. These apartments, dating back to the 12th century, have been restored with rustic simplicity by two famous Italian architects.
