“Alladale Wilderness Lodge and Reserve”, originally built in 1877 as an extraordinary sporting lodge, is perched on an elevated plateau surrounded by a breathtaking estate, native woodlands with spectacular views of Scotland’s most northerly ancient Caledonian Scots pine forest.
Preserving the Highlands, one of Europe’s last great areas of wilderness, indeed restoring this remarkable, remote area to its former natural glory, is the dedicated purpose of this magnificent lodge set amidst some of the most pristine, inspiring flora and fauna Scotland has to offer.
With its fine, traditional style and comfort, it opens its doors to a warm and inviting drawing room, complete with baby-grand piano, a blazing log fire in the winter to gather around after a full day’s activity.
Guestrooms are lavishly furnished with such fine details as English lambs wool blankets, pure Egyptian mercerised cotton sheets and selected natural fibre linens to pamper and indulge their cherished guests.
The highly acclaimed cuisine boasts original fare, lovingly prepared using only the freshest, organic ingredients sourced directly from the estate, including game from the high top, fish from the lochs and rivers and seafood from the coast, a taste of the truly unforgettable.
