Villa Mon Repos is situated at Pescasseroli, in the heart of the Abruzzo National Park, in one of the most picturesque mountain areas of Italy. The Villa is on a large plain at 1,167m.asl, and thanks to its enjoyable position, it is the ideal spot, not only for a summer break or to practise winter sports, but also for spring and autumn holidays.
Belonging to the Berardini-Decina family, the hotel was created from a late Art Nouveau style villa at the beginning of the 20th century from a project by Erminio Sipari, the then proprietor and maternal uncle of Benedetto Croce, and who walked and meditated in the Park’s acer tree and moss-scented woods.
For 10 years a charming hotel, Villa Mon Repos has undergone major restoration: marble and mosaic flooring, crystal chandeliers and art nouveau lamps, precious hand-crafted Tiffany windows, bathroom décor and cherry-wood furniture, elegant panelling, the refinement and variety of colour and material of the drapes – all of which are the result of creative research and imagination of the owners. The tasty cuisine offers local and regional dishes mixed with classic traditions.
