Nature and culture blend magnificently at the charming and relaxing hotel “Villa Stefania” in Innichen, 1,200 metres above sea level. The ski slopes and tracks are easily reached (shuttle-bus to the Birkenkofel ski lifts, 5 mins.). The oldest wing of the hotel, which hosts the Viennese-style tea room, dates back to 1911. With splendid view over the Dolomites and the picturesque town, the hotel offers a warm South Tyrolean welcome with the traditional hospitality of mountain folk together with the most modern comfort and typical cuisine for unrepentant foodies with gourmet menus of 5 or 6 courses or an ‘energy’ menu with few calories.

From the terrace, out in front of you, enjoy the Dolomites which stretch out over the horizon, towards the fascinating mountain countryside. Or sip one of the fabulous cocktails or a herbal tea under the shade of its secular trees in the garden…But the breathtaking scenery is not the only pearl of Villa Stefania: the hospitable hotel of the Ortner family also has a wellness centre with heated, covered swimming pool, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath and gym. Furthermore, it offers relaxing massages and beauty treatments.

Comfort, tranquility, elegance and lots of light are the common denominator of the recently decorated rooms. Instead, if you go wild about the style of past times, then book a room in the old wing. No two rooms are the same, but all have the same thing in common – the love of a detailed furnishing and their panoramic balconies over the Sexten Dolomites to the south, Mount Helm with its ski slopes to the east, while to the north the eye looks over Mount Innichen with its meadows, woods and ancient ‘masi’ rural habitations, and to the west you can pick out the bell towers of Innichen’s churches.

Furthermore, there are spacious family rooms, on request with kitchenette, and for the younger guests there are available: children’s menus and high chairs in the dining room, games room and cinema and, in the 1,500-square-metre garden, a miniature house and outside play area, in summer an activity programme for all the family (visit to a ‘maso’ rural building etc.) and in winter: mini-club, entertainment and the Innichen Ski School – known as one of the best for teaching children.
