Ihr Kommentar: Everything was just splendid. Atmoshere, locality, architechture, service, kitchen, hospitality, kindness of host/hostess and crew.
I was particularly amazed by the careful, but professional way the houses and all their contents was modernised, decorated and brought back to its original looks and atmosphere, in spite the modern facilities you just had to include in the project.

Ihr Kommentar: Execellent hotel and just some minor comments:
1. Very much focused on english speaking guests and in particular americans, i.e. guest information in room only in english.
2. Restrictions on where drinks can be had, i.e. no drinks at the poolside area tables because of the risk to brake a glass if dropped against the stone floor !!! Other drinking area has the same stone floor and drinking is allowed??
3. Internet access only in the reception area
4. Very limited number of dinner seats

Ihr Kommentar: The property was immaculate, and the hospitality could not have been exceeded. The pool and gardens are defintely physical highlights, the beautiful wine country provides the surroundings.

"Yes I love being able to say that we got to spend 2 nights in a 1,000 year old castle... But what we really loved--well, where do I start...

The Castello di Sinio is run by James and Denise, a wonderful American couple who have painstakingly ensured that their guests have everything a traveler could possibly want or need--including charming and comfortable accomodations, gracious hospitality (which doesn't have to translate as "delicious grappa after dinner" but it certainly doesn't hurt), fantastic recommendations and connections to everything from restaurants to winery visits--I could go on...James even made sure we got back to Milan and our next hotel, complete with directions in English!

For our first visit to Piedmont, we couldn't have picked a better location or hotel. We hope to return soon!
