Abbaye de la Bussière is an exceptional five-star hotel, housed in an ancient and majestic 12th-century Cistercian Abbey, nestled in a 7-hectare park in Burgundy, not far from Dijon. This historic residence offers a perfect blend of the solemnity and beauty of monastic architecture and luxury hospitality, with an emphasis on tranquility and culinary excellence.
The rooms and suites have been created from the ancient cells and spaces of the abbey, preserving the impressive stone vaults and original architectural details. The furnishings are a mix of antiques and modern comforts, creating an environment of discreet luxury and deep serenity. Every window overlooks the park and the pond, a true invitation to contemplation.
The hotel boasts a Michelin-starred restaurant that offers gastronomic cuisine based on fresh Burgundy products, celebrating the rich culinary heritage of the region. The wine cellar is equally impressive, with a selection of Burgundy Grand Crus and other world-renowned labels, making dinner a memorable event.
The surrounding park is a central element of the experience, featuring a large pond, walking paths, and the remnants of the ancient Benedictine gardens. This natural and historical environment offers guests an oasis of peace and beauty, ideal for relaxation and savoring the slowness of abbey life.

His Opinion: Lovely Building
Nice people
Very small and claustrophobic bedroom
The 'gourmet tasting menu' was awful - probably the worst meal I have ever had in a hotel. We both left pretty much all of it! Whoever made up those dreadful combinations should, in our opinion, look for an alternative profession.
