Welcome to the Abbey of Santa Maria del Bosco, created from an ancient abbey built to house Benedictine monks and then passed to the Olivetan Congregation, surrounded by about 200 hectares of woodland, it offers an incomparable panoramic view of western Sicily, a church with a Latin cross plan, built between 1643 and 1757, is finally located between the monastery and the soaring pyramid-shaped bell tower.
The Abbey is today a splendid relais in Sicily, immersed in the greenery of the natural reserve of Mount Genuardo, the 13 suites of our relais, were created from the ancient cells of the monks who lived in the Abbey in the 16th century, immersed in a silent and suggestive nature, to guarantee the quiet of your rest.
The rooms located on the first of the four levels that make up the monumental complex and which are accessed via two elegant soapstone staircases, are furnished with valuable antique furniture and preserve the charm of the history of the abbey in every corner.
