His Opinion: Unfortunately no restaurant in the hotel. Not even water, tea or coffee is complementary. The pool was full of insects, no umbrellas, no towels.
The price is much tol hight for what you get. It seems they have cut the services but for the same rate.

His Opinion: Un endroit incroyable où le temps s arrête. Un hôtel de charme que nous avons bcp aimé. Une décoration raffinée, un cadre magnifique et des petits déjeuners délicieux, avec des confitures. Gâteaux, pain et fromage blanc...maison.
Nous avions le sentiment d être chez nous.
Des hôtes discrets et très sympathiques.

His Opinion: We were very happy with the accomodation, meals and facilities provided by ther hotel. A very relaxing atmospher.
Being from the other side of the world our knowledge of Sicily and the Noto area was limited. For example it was on our last day we discouvered the ruins of an acient city just down the road. Perhaps the hotel could provide information on the highlights of the erea upon arrival.
All in all a most enjoyable experiance.

His Opinion: Warm welcome from Mario, lovely room, issues with the air conditioning were addressed and sorted. Loved the pool area , great place to have breakfast. The old refectory very beautiful too. Lovely setting altogether.
If I could offer ideas about improvement it would that the evening menu was more varied and tradionally cooked Sicilian food. . The lovely family running the hotel did vary the menu as we stayed so long. Perhaps posting a menu each day and getting guests to book a table each day?
More outside chairs and tables in communal areas. Outside the refectory would be perfect for an aperitif and on the grass below the pool to sit and read.
Great two weeks though. Very relaxing, lovely family run place.....great Alveria beers too....

His Opinion: The rooms were perfect, but there is no service at all. The manager was not able to speak good English . The B&B is not managed well. The breakfast and service comfort does not represent what it wants to be. In total it is not worth the expensive price!

His Opinion: Even though there was a problem with our reservation (we had reserved a room for 2 adults and 1 child and got a room for 2 people), the problem was solved in a satisfactory manner - the first night we stayed in the "wrong" room and the following day moved into the right room. As compensation, we got a free dinner at the hotel's restaurant.
The second room was very good, albeit dark.
The pool was nice.
The breakfast was okay. My son ate scrambled eggs everyday because they did not have sausages, smoked salmon etc. (and he doesn't eat bread or pastries). Also, they charge for a second cup of American coffee - I am not talking about espresso or capuccino, it is regular coffee (never seen this in other hotels).
Dinner at the restaurant was very good.
It was fun playing with the owners' dogs.
Check-out was efficient.
If in the area again, I would stay at the hotel.

His Opinion: Borgo Averia is about 10 km from Noto in a rural wilderness which has bucket loads of charm yet restricts you in your options. The views and swimming pool are magnificient; the accomodation is spacious but in the minimalist, slightly sombre style. In terms of food we felt a bit disappointed, despite the impressive setting. There are remarkable ruins all over the place.

His Opinion: This property is absolutely beautiful and located in a very stunning location. the rooms are large, stylishly decorated and very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was amazing...the meals we had were incredibly delicious with an excellent wine list. The staff was extremely friendly, spoke great english and were very helpful. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. Thank you for an excellent stay!

His Opinion: We did not receive a good welcome here & throughout our stay nobody was particularly interested in us or welcoming apart from Ivan & Anna.Breakfast offered a poor selection especially for fruit where 2 over ripe pears & lemon were all that was on offer until we asked for something else & were offered strawberries.You had to squeeze the oranges yourself for juice!There was also no info. in our room about the area and you always had to ask at reception where a map was given.
I think it was overpriced & generally was disappointed in our stay.

His Opinion: Wir haben eine sehr erholsame Woche in Borgo Alveria genossen. Das familiär betriebene Hotel liegt in einer wunderschönen Landschaft. Das aus einem Kloster hervorgegangene Ensemble ist sorgfältig restauriert und zeitgemäss eingerichtet. Die Küche ist kulinarisch auf hohem Niveau.
Ein Geheimtipp für all jene, die sich nach dem Ausflug in die Städtchen der Umgebung an einem beschaulichen Ort entspannen wollen.

His Opinion: We very much enjoyed our stay but with a few reservations: We felt that although the decor was very stylish everywhere and had been carried out with extremely good taste we felt it was at the expense of comfort at times eg no comfortable places to sit outside our room area and we felt some seating areas outside would have been nice (there was one area near the pool with sofas) No sunbeds around the pool (which was closed) even though it was very early season we felt that it would have been nice to lounge by the pool. We felt that an area for sitting inside to have a drink/read a book etc ie a bar or lounge area would have been nice. We had a very large superior room which could easily have had a sofa or comfortable chairs in it but didnt. Having said all that, the restaurant and food were excellent and everyone was very helpful and friendly if slightly amateurist (eg ran out of bread at breakfast by nine am!!)The location was beautiful and generallly we feel that with a few more touches to make the place more comfortable to match the beautiful style of the place it would be really excellent.

His Opinion: nous avons passé un formidable séjour (une semaine) à Borgo Alveira : le site et l'hôtel sont extrêmement agréables. Surtout, les hôtes nous ont reçu avec une très grande gentillesse, toujours prêts à rendre service, tout en restant très discrets. Autant les enfants que nous même avons été peinés de quitter les lieux.
