His Opinion: Overall, Castello Montegiove is a very nice place to stay. The reception and hospitality is excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff, ready to accommodate and assist. Great location, near to the interesting little town of Fano, although rather difficult to find. A few signs on nearby roads could be helpful or even on the entrance. We drove past several times before realizing we had arrived. Lovely pool area and excellent restaurant and service.
However, the rooms do not seem to match the quality of the overall place. The air conditioning was inadequate, and unfortunately, due to a mosquito issue, windows could not be opened. The room could use a little updating as well as the bathroom. No basic products were provided in the bathroom, including tissues and shower caps. Linens were rather shabby and no mattress covers on the beds. We used towels. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our short time here.
