Splendid 12th century Schloss Rubein is in Maia Alta, the most elegant residential area of Merano, which is famous for its cures and baths. In 1220, the residence was cited for the first time in documents of the Ruvina nobility, then later in ministerial documents of the counts of Tyrol.
Large suites, inside the ancient courtyard, are individually furnished with choice antiques, rugs and rare majolica stoves and have a suave atmosphere.
