Splendid 12th century Schloss Rubein is in Maia Alta, the most elegant residential area of Merano, which is famous for its cures and baths. In 1220, the residence was cited for the first time in documents of the Ruvina nobility, then later in ministerial documents of the counts of Tyrol.
Large suites, inside the ancient courtyard, are individually furnished with choice antiques, rugs and rare majolica stoves and have a suave atmosphere.
In the park garden there is a refined atelier suite with all modern facilities.
Rubein Castle’s large salons are ideal for meetings and gatherings of every kind, while the 1455-consecrated Gothic-style chapel is very suggestive for romantic wedding ceremonies. Considered one of the most beautiful and hospitable castles of Alto Adige, Rubein Castle is surrounded by over 13 acres of secular trees, and, with the swimming pool set in the silence of the park, guarantees relaxation and privacy.

His Opinion: Einzigartiges historisches Schloss mit viel Liebe und Geschmack eingerichtet :Ist eine Reise wert.
Meran befindet sich zu Fuss in halber Stunde Distanz.
Die Eignerin Frau Eliane ist sehr zuvorkommend und sehr besorgt um das Wohlbefinden der Gäste.
Absolut empfehlenswert.

His Opinion: Beautiful Castle and grounds. Rooms filled with gorgeous antiques and paintings of Elaine's father Robert Du Parc. Warm and welcoming and such a magical place. Elaine was such a gracious hostess and laid out a beautiful breakfast for our family each morning. Merano was fun to explore eat and shop. We enjoyed our stay at Castello Rubein very much and plan to return as soon as we can. The Finnance Family U.S.A

His Opinion: E' la prima volta che soggiorniamo in un castello e possiamo dire che il posto è incantevole e la padrona di casa di una gentilezza squisita. Sarebbe stato meraviglioso se ci fosse stata anche la possibilità di cenare. Sicuramente torneremo e ci fermeremo per un periodo piu' lungo.

His Opinion: Il castello Rubein è una struttura ben conservata dove si respira ancora la storia. Le suite sono molto grandi ma il confort è solo discreto per via del freddo.
La colazione, scarsa, viene servita in una sala molto bella di grande fascino. Peccato non sia prevista la cena, sarebbe stato sicuramente il momento più bello della nostra permanenza al castello.

ho visto vari castelli ma questo è molto accogliente curato e mi ha dato l' idea di trovarmi nel castello incantato delle fate.
