Fortaleza do Guincho is a charming boutique 5-star hotel, built on the site of an ancient fortress of the 17th century by the lighthouse of Cabo da Roca, near the Atlantic Ocean, right on the beach Guincho Beach, the Portuguese surfers' paradise.
The hotel is located at the westernmost point of mainland Europe, one of the most beautiful landscapes of Portugal and shelters, such as the Natural Park of Sintra-Cascais, Guincho beach and the Serra de Sintra.
All the rooms of the hotel offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere, fine details like spiral staircases, wrought iron chandeliers, stone floors and ceilings with exposed beams create a genuine medieval atmosphere.
All rooms and suites are elegantly furnished with fine fabrics, carved wooden furniture and old paintings, some have a private balcony with wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean.
