“Riad Maison Bleue” is demurely poised steps away from Azliten Square in the historic quarters of Fes, an extraordinary 19th century riad, once the residence of one of Morocco’s most renowned philosophers, Aziz Lahbabi.
A truly distinctive manor later restored, revealing its magnificent architectural splendour, with its interconnecting courtyards, of which the main one with its pristine swimming pool and characteristic Moroccan fruit trees most notably reflects its Arab-Andalusian style (Merinid Dynasty).
The exceptional guestrooms were masterfully furnished with authentic Moroccan materials and details such as traditional zellige tiles, sculpted wood, Andalusian ceilings and antique Moroccan pieces. Accomodations are spacious and include terraces with exotic views of the surrounding Fes cityscape.
From the privacy of these terraces, guests can choose to savour their exquisite Moroccan fare from dawn till dusk, or opt to dine in the restaurant’s outdoor courtyard.
