Masseria Cristo: Historic Salento Residence with Pool and Apulian Flavours
The Masseria Cristo is an evocative 17th-century historic residence located in the Ugento countryside, in the heart of Salento, just 4 km from the beautiful Ionian beaches (such as Torre Mozza and Pescoluse). The magnificently restored structure preserves the charm of ancient Apulian farmhouses with original stone walls and vaulted ceilings, offering an oasis of peace and tranquility.
Rooms and Suites: Tuff Vaults and Independent Entrance
The Masseria has 10 rooms, including Comfort, Deluxe, and Suite types, created from the original structure. Each room is furnished with rustic elegance and local handicrafts. Distinctive features include star or barrel vaults in ancient tuff and, for many, an independent entrance from the garden, ensuring privacy and direct contact with the surrounding nature. All accommodations are equipped with air conditioning and a minibar.
Pool, Relaxation, and Equipped Gardens
The main highlight for relaxation is the seasonal outdoor swimming pool, ideal for cooling off and enjoying the Salento sun. Near the pool, guests can use a hot tub (Jacuzzi) for moments of regeneration. The estate is surrounded by large gardens and a large equipped pine forest with seating and hammocks, perfect for walks and quiet relaxation.
Dining and Typical Breakfast Included
At the Masseria's restaurant, known as Casina dei Cari or the in-house Restaurant, guests can enjoy dishes that highlight local flavours and traditional Apulian cuisine. The Masseria offers a complimentary continental breakfast served every morning, rich in local delicacies, homemade cakes, and the typical Leccese pasticciotto.
