Parador de Sigüenza: Stay in the 12th Century Medieval Castle

The Parador de Sigüenza is housed in an imposing 12th-century medieval castle, built upon an ancient Arab alcazaba. This historic fortress dominates the entire city of Sigüenza, offering guests a lodging experience that is a true journey through time. Its history is rich, having hosted kings, cardinals, and bishops over the centuries.

Historic Architecture and Regal Details

The stone exterior and austere facade impress, but it is inside that the historical charm unfolds with its cobblestone courtyard, the 13th-century Romanesque chapel, and the majestic vaulted dining room. The common areas blend medieval elegance with essential services, creating a unique and memorable atmosphere.

Rooms with a View and Modern Comforts

The 81 rooms of the Parador, including the Standard and Superior Doubles, have been updated to offer modern comforts such as free Wi-Fi and air conditioning, while maintaining an aesthetic that perfectly integrates with the historic building, often featuring wooden balconies overlooking the city and its surroundings.

Dining Focused on Castilian-Manchegan Cuisine

The restaurant at the Parador de Sigüenza is one of its strengths, cementing its status as a champion of traditional Castilian-Manchegan gastronomy. In a distinctly medieval setting, guests can savor iconic dishes like meat roasts and 'migas,' prepared with fresh, local products.

Exploration of Cultural Heritage

The Parador's location makes it the ideal starting point for visiting the most emblematic sites of Sigüenza, primarily the Cathedral, the Plaza Mayor, and the walls. Furthermore, it is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding nature, such as the Río Dulce Natural Park, offering a perfect blend of history and nature.
