The Residenza D'epoca San Crispino is a historic 15th-century residence nestled in the Umbrian countryside, a short distance from Assisi. This place, steeped in history and spirituality, offers a peaceful retreat that combines the authentic atmosphere of an ancient stately villa with modern comforts. It is the perfect choice for those seeking a relaxing, cultural holiday close to the religious and artistic sites of Umbria.
The 13 rooms and suites are furnished with great care, using antique furniture, fine fabrics, and details that recall the villa's history. Many offer distinctive elements such as antique fireplaces, exposed beams, and jacuzzi tubs. All are equipped with air conditioning and Wi-Fi, but maintain the discreet charm of luxury that prioritizes intimacy and disconnection, a true journey back in time.
The large Italian garden surrounds the residence and hosts a splendid panoramic swimming pool, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the valley and the city of Assisi. The solarium area is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas. Additional services include free Wi-Fi in common areas, private parking, and an attentive and personalized concierge service to meet every need.
The breakfast, rich and curated with fresh and typical local products, is a moment of relaxation, often served in a frescoed hall. Upon request and for private events, the structure organizes culinary experiences with available chefs, enhancing the flavors of Umbrian tradition. There is also a historic wine cellar where guests can participate in wine and local product tastings.
The location is strategic for exploring Assisi (reachable in a few minutes) and its treasures, such as the Basilica of St. Francis. For wellness, the Residence offers massage treatments upon request. The villa can be entirely rented for weddings and exclusive events, offering a historical and evocative setting. The proximity to nature trails also makes it ideal for excursions and trekking.

His Opinion: We loved the place, and specially the view, but we had several problems.
The first one: even I asked in a special mail if we would be able to leave my aunt and my mother by the door, WE COULDN´T.
They were repairing the acces street, and nobody told us. We tried to get close to the door and we couldn´t . They had to walk down the street. Apart from that we were told to go to a parking nearby with all our luggage (6 bags) and to come walking, that the residence was just 150 meters away. Nobody told us there were so many stairs to climb!!!!
It was very dissapointing!
As we arrived in the afternoon, Fabiola, who was very kind and nice, gave us the keys of our rooms, but we received no password for the internet conection.I really needed the connection to speak with my children at home.
The second big dissapointment was the next morning.
Fabiola kindly arranged with someone that would come and help us with our luggage, at midday, when we were planning to leave our rooms.
We went for a walk and when I came back one of the maids was in our rooms, cleaning, and she had taken all our stuff from one of the rooms and put it together in another one.
I consider this a big failure, not only because she shouldn´t have touched our things, but because of this we left several things forgotten. One was the charger of my computer, (wich costed me 59 euros to replace, and it is not the original) and the second important thing was our "mate" and "yerba" which meant we could not have any more mates for the rest of our trip, as they don´t sell it in Italy.
In conclusion, we loved the place, specially one of the rooms (moon and stars) but the services were very poor, not what one would expect of a place like this.
Thanks for listening
