The Torre della Botonta is a charming Country House and 'albergo diffuso' (distributed hotel), housed within the walls of Castel San Giovanni, a 14th-century Albornozian fortress. Located in Castel Ritaldi, in the heart of Umbria, in the Sagrantino wine area, it offers a unique stay experience that combines medieval history, pristine nature, and sober contemporary design. 'Botonta', meaning 'border place', is an oasis of tranquility among historic villages.
Accommodations: Within the Ancient Walls
The rooms and apartment are distributed in the historic buildings of the hamlet (the old bank, the ancient town hall, the public oven), maintaining the original beauty intact. Each room is dedicated to a natural fiber (Hemp, Silk, Linen, etc.) and is furnished with a mix of antique furniture and modern design. The accommodations are designed to make the guest feel like a resident of the hamlet for the duration of their stay, often without a TV, to encourage relaxation and reading.
Genuine Cuisine and Umbrian Products
The dining focuses on the authentic flavours of Umbria. Breakfast is a highlight, with zero-kilometer products, homemade cakes, and local specialties. His Opinion: Abbiamo trascorso un week end romantico in un borgo tranquillo e silenzioso dove l unico suono derivava dalle campane della chiesa alle ore 8.00.
La camera pulita e accogliente.
Il personale cortese ed anche il titolare ospitale e attento alla cura di ogni dettaglio.

His Opinion: Non vale i soldi che richiede, la struttura non ha una reception, è male riscladata, il frigo fa rumore, la colazione è poco curata, è sostanzialmente un B&B con una stanza abbastanza carina al prezzo di un buon albergo.
