Experience pure castle romance in the Carinthian Hotel Schloss Leonstain.
Built in 1492, it is one of the oldest buildings on Lake Wörthersee, but don't worry, you won't stumble across knight's armor, castle ghosts and chamber pots in the historic chambers. Leonstain is not a design hotel either, but simply the ideal hideaway for a romantic or wellness weekend in a fairytale setting - with a dreamy castle courtyard for princesses...
None of the 33 rooms - twelve of which are suites - are the same. All are comfortably furnished, including internet in all rooms - the castle spirit of the 21st century, if you will.
The Leon Beach Club offers a Mediterranean feeling: Lake Wörthersee is the best feel-good bathtub a hotel can have, the cuisine is fresh and light, the "Wörthersee Strawberry Infusion" with homemade vodka served on a petrol-colored velvet couch, under the romantic willow tree...

Apart from this natural relaxation zone in front of the castle gate, the "Roman Bathhouse" in the castle also invites you to wellness and relaxation. With a Finnish sauna, Kneipp pool and water relaxation beds, massages, Ayurveda, Shiatsu (can be booked from home).
The LEON restaurant focuses on the roots of good taste, using products from organic farmers in Italy and Austria, fair trade and meat from animals on the lush Carinthian alpine pastures. And it tastes good too: Gault Millau has awarded the down-to-earth organic regional cuisine two toques.
