In the early 1500s, the Malavolti commissioned the famous exponent of the Italian Renaissance, Baldassarre Peruzzi, to build a country residence for their family. Among the Sienese hills, in the medieval village of Buonconvento, the Tuscan period residence "Villa Armena" was born.
After the precious and awaited restoration, in 2011 the residence opened its doors regaining all its ancient charm and splendor, transforming itself into "Villa Armena Relais".
A unique and high-level experience is the goal that Villa Armena wants to offer its guests: a journey through history, art, haute cuisine and well-being. Immersed in a century-old park, among olive groves, cypresses, the 'Rose Garden' or the delightful 'Ancient Fruit Corner', the atmosphere that you breathe at Villa Armena is one of complete peace and well-being, typical of the Tuscan countryside. At the edge of the panoramic pool, there is no shortage of opportunities to spend a relaxing day at Villa Armena.
The furnishings and interiors of the relais are inspired by the history of this ancient period residence. Between sophisticated luxury, ceilings with exposed beams, period pieces and paintings, the Villa represents the true and typical expression of country residences in Tuscany.
The journey to Villa Armena continues with gastronomy in its romantic restaurant: ‘Il Sorbo Allegro’, where chef Christian Meloni, inspired by the philosophy of ‘Slow Food’ and ‘Km 0’ cuisine, offers genuine dishes of the highest quality. The cellar will be a walk in Italy among its regions, to savor the variety of wines of our nation but also among local Tuscan producers, we have in fact deliberately neglected the most famous names to give space to quality rather than quantity.

His Opinion: Villa Armena, é una residenza storica eccellente sotto tutti i punti di vista; appena arrivati, la cordialità dei proprietari "la fa da padrone" che, con premura ci stavano aspettando: dobbiamo a loro, o meglio alla loro passione nonché coraggio, se questa Villa splende ancora!! Cura professionale del dettaglio: gli antichi mattoni senesi della struttura esterna ,
egreggiamente recuperati e all'interno il buon gusto con arredi , tappeti e luci creano atmosfere rilassanti. Il ristorante é molto ricercato, con piatti ottimi e genuini.
Ottima la colazione: vi é di tutto!
Staff consono alla struttura: gentilissimo e pronto ad accontentare l'ospite.
Un vivissimo plauso ad Edoardo e a sua moglie ( l'architetto che ha curato il progetto) ed un GRAZIE alla signora ( la mamma di Edoardo) che con il calore di una mamma, aspettava che la sera, tutti gli ospiti fossero rientrati in villa!!!
Struttura da non perdere.

His Opinion: Posto molto bello peccato che quando sono andato non funzionava piscina e non c'era un posto all'aperto dove poter prendere il sole e leggere un libro anche se non funziona la piscina la struttura dovrebbe avere uno spazio alternativo dove prendere il sole e rilassarsi all'aperto
